Hmm.. If there was any effect on longevity, few would be able to correctly make that determination over the time spans (years) and other variables involved.
If someone does feel this is the case, I'd recommend listing tank conditions and other products as well. Several factors affect glutaraldehyde toxicity. For example, biocidal activity increases with pH. Use of a surfactant (basically, soap) drastically increases cell uptake. Most folks would never dream of putting that in their aquarium, yet I saw a surprisingly active thread on AlgaeFix recently; which is actually a surfactant.
