So have a USA SAT+ light on a 12g long tank (sits right on tank rim not raised). Plants are Italian val, blyxa j. and a., and mini micro sword. The blyxa has not been happy and melting on me so I'm assuming the lights are more "low light" than "medium light" (they have root tabs and other plants are doing ok).
Originally I had the light setting on pure white, at exactly half strength, since that's not working and I don't have access to a par meter, I'm asking you all if anyone can point out what settings on this light will give me true "medium lighting"? I know the "lighting aquarium with par" thread's graphs shows data for this light, but fails to mention what setting that reading was taken at.

The color setting they used is the yellow option. The original source is here and the comment about the color is at the end of the first paragraph.

I can't say from experience, since I have been sticking with just low light species but at that height the light should be more than sufficient. That same thread also mentions a PAR of 75 at 6" a bit farther down on the first page.

Thank you, I'll go give that a read!
