safe to leave top off water sitting around?

is it safe to fill and decontaminate/dechlor 5 gallons of water in a 5g tub and then top-off with that throughout the week as needed?

the only thing i think would change would be the pH right?

The dissolved solids aren't evaporating so the water does change a bit when you top off. Over a week it shouldn't matter.
