Failing that, a more interesting and descriptive thread title might get people to notice your question to begin with.
Longer answer: A SAE is just an animal, it doesn't know that you bought it to perform a job (eat algae) and will be all too happy to eat any food it finds. It doesn't know that you read on the internet that they eat nuisance algae in a glass box. Feeding less for a few days will generally not harm your other fish, and encourge them to seek out alternatives.
How do you expect people to help, though, when you haven't said what sort of algae? It may well be one that no fish eat
