What would be a good mix of South American based plants for a low tech setup? I know Amazon Sword, and most likely many other swords and i know Christmas Moss for a moss...What else could be used?

Amazon frogbit, Brazilian Pennywort, Sagittaria subulata, Helanthium tenellum and Lilaeopsis species. Don't expect the last two to spread much but they can be nice accent plants.

@Opare thank you, I actually have some frogbit coming. I will keep my eye out for the others, plant availability is short in my area right now, maybe its the cold, but my LFS might be able to order for me. Thanks again

I think that Christmas Moss is from SE Asia, IINM. Although I seem to recall that there is a few South American aquatic mosses.
