Running co2 into aquaclear 20 intake, should i worry.

So I just setup my dot co2 system and decided to run the co2 through a diffuser and then into the intake of my aquaclear 20. Currently it's at about 1-2 bps. Should I worry about the impeller? I've read up on this debat and have heard from both sides. The filter itself doesn't seem to be making noise. Really it's only if I get right up to the filter and actually try to listen for any noise do I hear the slightest sound.
