Ruin of Margaritatus

Decided to throw up a post to show off my 15 gallon tank. It's not a show tank really, as I live in a studio apartment with few visitors, but I try to make it something I enjoy looking at and a decent home for the critters.

Recently I aquired a number of new plants and now I'm just waiting for them to take hold.

Substrate is a mix of my 6 year-old original flourite with most of a bag of black flourite added in. I'm not a huge fan of the color mix, but it's not terrible IMO either. I didn't have the money to do a full replacement but I needed more after I sifted out some larger river gravel I had mixed in years ago.

The style is obviously my own, kind of a Taiwan style meets Iwagumi (Taiwagumi?) I wanted the texture of rock, but I wanted the focus to be something else...

My co2 regulator from Bettatail came in today, I got it all set up under my tank. I really like the design of it. The bubble counter was a bit awkward to work with, but as you see I figured out where to put it.

It's currently set at 40 bubbles per minute - pretty low - but I want to gradually change things. We'll see if the drop-checker registers any change in the next few hours.

A large portion of my anubias will be sold off this weekend at the local swap meet. Then I can rescape a bit and make the foreground look less chaotic. At least the CPD's like it ;)

I have a new camera coming Wed - a Panasonic DMC-FZ200 12.1 MP. Not a DSLR, but as close as I'll need. Good zoom, good macro, and good video.
