Wanted to try a needlewheel for CO2 on my 90 gallon, but didn't want to run a sump. Just injecting straight into the intake wasn't really giving me the finer bubbles that I wanted, so the resulting monstrosity is what it turned into. Works surprisingly well.

Nice design but, what if leak happens on one of outside connections ?

Pump will pump out half of aquarium on the floor.

IMHO it is safer to have pump inside or above tank.

Clean job on the plumbing seems like a lot to distribute c02 unless the pump serves another purpose, can't be any more dangerous for leak or flood than hoses or plumbing for a canister filter, most likely less it that's schedule 40 PVC.

I feel like pvc can hold its own against leaks especially with the low pressures we use with aquarium applications.
