I have 3 in my 90gal and I have never seen them nibble at my plants. They have a much wider/flatter mouth than the Bristlenose Plecos and much prefer hard flat surfaces like the tank glass, rocks, and driftwood. They are IMO better than BNPs for clearing the glass of the tank, but are near useless for getting algae off any but the largest of leaves. I rotate foods in my tank, feeding uncooked zucchini, steamed kale, sinking algae wafers, and also sinking shrimp pellets. (Not pellets FOR shrimp but pellets MADE OF shrimp, I haven't found a single fish or shrimp that is purely vegetarian enough to resist these tasty snacks.)
