Hey all, I'm not sure if this should go here or not, but I am having a little trouble with my rotala wallichi (and more minor problem with rotala vietnam). I'm pretty sure this is a type of fuzz algae, but not positive about what I should do. I tried to up the CO2 to help, so we'll see. Any input or similar experiences would be great. Here are a few photos (the best I can get). You can see the algae growing on the thin leaves. It makes them look ratty. They are still growing, but I would like to fix the problem. Any input? Thanks!

Oh, I forgot to mention, these are in my 50, a link to where stats can be found is in my sig.
That's diatom algae. Did anything happen recently that might have upset the bacteria cycle?
I thought that could be it as well. It is only in these specific plants. I guess it could be due to changing over to the plants I really want from the plants I stuffed it with to stave off algae initially. I guess I'll just wait it out and keep my ferts/co2 in check. Thanks!
they need really strong lights.. Mine does that too but in my low tech tank where I use sunlight, it's doing pretty good.

Yea, I've read that about them. I thought my 2X96 coralife fixture should be enough (even though the reflectors are crappy). I actually ordered new bulbs this morning, as these could use replacing. Maybe that will help. Thanks for the input!
