Holy cow! I'm doing a little cleaning in my tank and taking out some plants and BOOM. Little ropefish, I'm 90% sure they're ropefish, too long for any other fish from my tank. They're around 1 cm long. What can I do for them? I've taken them out in a little container, I have some spare tanks, so there'll be place to grow them out, but I heard it's nearly impossible to breed them! Help needed!

Yeah, I know this article pretty well, but what I don't know is if I should get them in container with strong filtration or nearly no? (for example blue gularis fry grows best with low water and only water changes) I'm getting some live brineshrimp right now. Should I separate them? I've heard they can cannibalize each other.

Wow, yeah I would seperate anything small enough to fit into anything else's mouth. At 1cm I guess they should be able to tack quite large food compared to most fry. Maybe try some finely diced frozen blood worms.
Remember to do a small water change about 15 minutes after feeding to vacuum uneaten food and keep nitrates and ammonia down. If you can age a large container of water to use, so the water is the same every time you change water out, it would be beneficial.

I'm thinking of using water from the main tank for changes, this way I'll have stable params and right temp. Thanks for advice!

aah ok, I would stick to BBS as the largest food for now. DO NOT OVERFEED.
BBS creates a lot of biological waste, even when alive.

I might be crazy, but I'm a big fan of leaving fry where they've hatched. If it's a densely planted tank they'll often times find places to hide that are out of the way, and well established tanks have lots of tiny bio film/life in them for the fry to snack on.

It might also be from working in IT as long as I have, where basically if it's not broken, don't fix it.

How did the fry do?

It was a long time ago - sadly all died. I'm waiting for a miracle of more time to properly care for them. Ropefish are spawning constantly after every water change. Many times I saw some little ones, but really no time to scoop them out and set a tank for them. I'm thinking of breeding ropefish for real when I'll be moving them to a bigger tank - maybe I'll leave the actual tank for some time without decorations etc. to be able to search for eggs.

I'm running an experiment, doing some of the fry I have a harder time in large tubs outside. Of course, you would need to wait for spring to do the same. It is realy low in time overheads, I feed them when I remember, but they grow regardless.
The little ones seem to be growing really fast, but its still a few weeks before I'd be able to see if I finally broke my long stint of deformed danio.
I started the tubs using aged water from a tub I left to stand under cover over winter. Full of bloodworms, daphnia and mosquito larvae. I also have lots of peppered cory juveniles in there to keep the floor cleanish and get rid of anything that can catch fish before it gets big enough. They would be fine with those fry.

In Poland it may be hard. Till May it sometimes is as low as 10-15 C outside (daytime, not at night)... Week later aaaand it's 30 C.

lol I sound like October in the Winelands We can easily have a 30 degree C swing from morning till afternoon.
Today it actually rained, but it stayed so hot the water just evaporated after a few minutes. Luckily water is quite a good sink for heat, a large tub holds the temperature quite well if it gets warm enough in the day. Despite being overcast my tubs were at 21C at 9am this morning. But I've seen it drop to 14 one morning, so not warm enough for the angelfish to go outdoors yet.
