This is for my CRS tank. I use RODI + Equilibrium, target to TDS 150.

Current tank params:
TDS 160
gH 5
kH 1
pH 7.8

I don't understand why the pH is still so high, it's already on RO water and almost no kH. How can I lower it?

It's a decently planted tank, have been running for almost 2 years as betta tank, recently converted to CRS tank, like a month ago.

What substrate are you using? I have a good size colony of crystal reds that I have been keeping for about two years now. I use ADA Amazonia, but found that it only works for about a year before it looses its pH reducing properties. I use RODI with Saltyshrimp Bee Shrimp GH+ to get the tds to 160. Adding alder cones and indian almond leaves will also help bring the pH down, but the key is having an active substrate.
