So I think I've just about given up on keeping CRS since they require soft water and I do not have that. On the other hand I can probably keep OEBT just fine. From what I understand they like harder water and stable parameters.
My tap water last I checked was ph 7.4 and gh ~4
I really like the Iwagumi scape style but don't want to dish out a lot of money on what's essentially limestone when I already have so much of it around here (limestone, sandstone, slate, and shale in abundance).
Therefore, I was wondering about whether limestone would be safe for OEBT in the first place and if not, what suitable stones I could get that would have a similar look.
For those that are not aware, common 'seiryu stone' is actually Chinese ying stone and is a type of striated limestone.
