seems pretty cheap to me, a friend recommended it, but i can hardly put together a lego toy set.... im not the handiest of men, i just wanted to know how complicated this is going to be to setup?

does anyone have this system? wanted your input, i know a lot of members have disliked this company because of lack of service, but the real question is, will this work, and is it a good deal

150 GPD and 4 stage yeah that's a pretty cheap price. Everything seems to be there just make sure you figure out how you'll get water to the unit. Judging by the price, I can only guess it won't come pre-built. But I doubt it'll be too hard to build.
For anyone newish to RO I suggest watching some of the videos at http://www.bulkreefsupply.com/store/brs-tv. After that you will have fewer questions, and know what to look for in parts.
OP:

Please be sure to google the heck out of the company you're considering. Check the reviews.

I'm using the 150GPD one from that company. I can vouch that it's legit and works very well. I've been using it for ~4 months now and the water is still 0TDS when it comes out.

However, if you're planning to use this in a house and not an apartment, it might be better to get a non-portable unit. Replacing the parts for this unit costs ~$50 whereas replacing parts for a actual unit costs much less.

good to know, thanks for your input! the only problem is i rent right now, i rent my condo, and i'll be moving soon trying to get a house but will be renting that too, so i was thinking portable because im not sure where i'll end up.... and as far as this system goes, is it easy to use/setup?? plus do you need a pump? my water pressure looks average but cold water runs a little slower then my hot, or do you know of any good systems including the pump i would need to provide pressure??

Yes, this system is VERY VERY easy to setup. When you buy it, it comes with a sink adaptor. If that doesn't work for you you can pay extra for a different type of adaptor. It also comes with all tubing needed, and in excess as well incase you need to cut any down to size.

As for finding out your water pressure, you can easily call your water provider and they should be able to tell you what your pressure is. At worst, just run both hot/cold water through the RO/DI filter and let it cool down afterwards.
only problem is i rent, and not sure what or who to call, i guess i could call the city? but i dont think our building will be listed as far as water pressure goes.... and i have a uni knob, lol so i cant turn both on :(
Yea I think just call the city and they should be able to direct you. Or call the renting office and they could refer you?

Uni knob on both sinks? Well either way find out the pressure first. A pressure booster costs like ~$70 I think.
i think its even more expensive then that ugh... well all my sinks only have one handle to control cold go left, and turn to right for hot, not a way to get double pressure... and when its on cold it isnt as fast coming out ( thats what she said) sorry.... had to do it.... man i just want something cheap that i know will work and easy to set up

you can buy a pressure meter before you buy the system.

Also, purewaterclub doesn't have costumer service. I had an important part missing and send emails to them without replies. Well called my bank, they took the money back and put it in my account. 3 months later I got a letter that I won the case! Started looking for the part around, I found it at HD and was a $2.50 part. Wow, I only payed $2.50 for an RO/DI system...
what !!? lucky, man i heard its pretty terrible, so did you hire a attorney or something or just call your bank and complain??

Call the bank and file a claim. 5 min phone call, you get your money right away on your debit account. next couple of days you get a letter.
They do all the work, try to get in contact with the company and try to resolve the situation. If the company does not reply, or doesn't want to resolve the situation, you will get a letter after 2-3 months that will say that you won the case and can keep your money + product

I won already couple of claims, got a free gas range (lightly damaged during shipping), a toilet (because hardware was missing and claimed complete),...

I only lost ones, aquatraders... dammaged cfs700 filter, AT never replied to me after pics and several emails. try to call never picked up the phone.
I don't know why I lost... Its still a mystery... Lost $90+ that way, but hey, it all compensates :)

I do to many claims, but that's because I buy EVERYTHING online.
makes sense!! well nice, everyone says that company with the filters never never answers so maybe i'll get lucky lol does anyone know of any other ro filters that are cheap and might include a pump?? plus easy to use.... i think i will go with the one above just becuase its cheap but im pretty sure my water pressure isnt enough, im going to email my property manager today

and nice on the claims! lol i need to do that more often!!! i always buy stuff online and get some broken stuff every once in a while, company never responds.... it would be nice to get my money back on goods that arend "goods''
