i was planing on setting my 80G X-high up as one this comeing spring and catch some bass for these gravel pits behind my house and make it real looking and put moss in the filter instead of charcoal so i get that murky look to the tank

A pet shop I used to go to had a tank that had a crack in the upper portion. They had large riverrock covered with black bush algae. Poer haeds were installed at one end to create a strong current. I think they had danios in it. I thought it was cool. I think smallmouth will do better in current than largemouth.

Bass do NOT need tons of flow. They are commonly found in lakes, ponds, dams and gravel pits.

River style tanks are cool, but skip the part about putting large fish in them that you'll have to release into the wild later. How about some sunfish, or some hillstream loaches?

well i love bass and its not that big of a deal to me... but i want it a really tank like get a bass or two and some sunfish and blue gill... a little of everything ya know?

Yes, please don't do that. This is how invasive plant species/exotic diseases get into the wild.
