So I've been going here for years and have always been helped by knowledgeable staff. Sometimes the jovial conversations with the owner can get construed, but he always seems to aim to please the customers. I enjoy going here due to the well stocked plant selection as well as the variety of fish. The prices can be high on the live stcok, but at the end of the day they only sell quality. Personally I prefer to pay a few extra bucks for healthy fish I can't find anywhere else in MD.

If you're looking for dwarf rainbows, apistos, shrimp, plants, and LED lighting locally I'd check them out.

If anyone is interested in a 30 breeder that is drilled with an over flow he is clearing them out for a fair price. The catch with them though is that the tanks have dividers siliconed in that the manufacturer put in too high (so water can't flow in 2/3 of the tank) but is easily can be fixed with some patience and a razor blade to cut out the silicon on the dividers to make a full 30 breeder.

I stopped in today and grabbed a bunch of plants and have been getting my cubes here. Figured I'd throw out a nice review.

Figured I'd throw up what I saw today on my weekly visit:

- Scarlet Badis (Dario Dario)
- Chocolate Gouramis (Sphaerichthys Osphromenoides)
- Celebes Rainbows (Telmatherina Ladigesi)
- Threadfin Rainbows (Iriatherina Werneri)
- Madagascar Rainbows (Bedotia Gaeyi)
- Blue Eyed Rainbows (Pseudomugil Gertrudae)
- Forktail Bule Eye Rainbows (Pseudomugil Furcatus)
- Paska's Blue Eye Rainbows (Pseudomugil Paskai)
- Rasbora Brigittae (Boraras Brigittae)
- Dwarf Rasbora (Boraras Maculatus)
- Too many species of cories to name
- Dwarf Orange Crayfish
- Bamboo Shrimp

Speaking to Rick he said he would be getting in some more shrimp varieties (wouldn't leak out what he was working on getting.) Aside from that he also mentioned there should be a variety of Nerites coming in this week as well as some CPD's.

I enjoy going to Rick's, they always have a good attitude, don't mind yacking with ya and I don't mind paying a few extra here and there to get good quality merch. I remember going to Rick's back in the early 80's to get an Anole for myself or bird seed with my mom/dad (when that strip mall wasn't a strip mall..). I go through Fredeick on my way to different cleint sites several times a week so, I make it a point to detour myself down 40 for a visit when I need crickets/ brine shrimp or just killing time. Just a great place to hang out for a while.

I actually picked up a couple of the Dwarf Rasboras for a small tank on my desktop here... They're soo small and easy to care for.
