Where can I find rice fish that are able to be kept outside for winter like my koi? I was able to find white ones recently at a local pet store. They said it was a mistake in there order and there store has never had them before. So he didn’t even know that they came in a different colors. thought about just getting eggs but no guarantees .

Rice fish, no matter the color variant, can tolerate temperatures down to about 40 degrees F. If the water temperature drops below that then a heater to maintain the temperature from dropping lower will likely be needed. Some sort of water circulation is also good with an air pump with an airstone or a water circulating pump. There are several species of Rice Fish (Oryzias sp) and color variants as well.
