Riccia has to be diligently tied down or it will gladly go EVERYWHERE. This is normally a floating plant but it will do great submerged. People tend to mesh it to rocks or wood for its pearling effect. It is quite beautiful when pearling but if you don't want it to float everywhere then I would ensure that you have it secured very well. Heaven forbid if you have a HoB filter with good flow and your riccia escapes. If that happens you will have a situation that mirrors duckweed.

All that said it is beautiful and can be managed and add a lot to a scape.

Riccia will need to be trimmed regularly or else the bottoms will die and float off. It doesn't root itself, also you need to use a non-degrading material too hold it down or else it will just float away when the cotton thread is gone. It is a really cool plant though, just a pain too keep it lush looking without regular trimmings. It grows incredibly quick.
