Anybody using ribbon wood in scaping? I'd love to see some pics...

Never mind. Is it the wood used in bird cages as perches? If so I have never heard of it being used in aquascapes. Interesting idea though.

That's the problem with common names. Ribbon wood is a New Zealand shrub that you would not use in a tank. You are probably thinking of something else, but it's hard to guess what. Manzanita maybe?

I guess we'll have to ask Tex Gal what Ribbon wood is, in scientific terms.

Never heard of it either. I figured it's like "Foxtail" or "Green Creeper" :icon_mrgr

Manzanita is commonly used as bird perches, though the smooth red skin is often left on.
