Rhinox

So I just got a rhinox diffuser. It has been set up since 9 am today. It is hooked to pressurized co2, and what use to be 2 bpm just going into my filter is barely anything coming out of the rhinox 1000. The bubbles are only coming out of one little part of the disk.

Should I clean it? how do I do that?

Just trying to get the best out of this...

pump up the volume! :)

they need a certain pressure to work.

But what if 2bps was the RIGHT amount? by pumping it up wouldn't you be delivering more CO2 then you want to?
well, hmm. hum...

A rhinox diffuser wastes some CO2, so perhaps the excess amount you need to operate the diffuser will equal the amount that disappears out of the water.
Alternatively you should look at a diffuser that operates at lesser pressure..
I use a Rhinox 2000 on my 55g and it does the same thing. I would not worry about turning it up unless your co2 levels are not reaching the level you would like. I have had no problems. My drop checker always stays green or yellow and never goes blue.

do a quick burst to open it all up and set it to where it was before.

"m" as in minute? 2 bpm is quite a slow bubble rate to begin with.

Agreed. Start with 1 bubble per second and adjust from there.
Good catch! That was supposed to bps...

Anyways, my bubble counter broke and I'm without one for a while.

So, I just put it in anyways and didn't change anything. Well, I start with a ph of 8.4 and went to a ph of 6.2.... I was surprised no fish perished(though they like low ph).

That put my co2 to over 60 ppm. I'm working on bringing it down...
