Currently i have a milwaukee regulator and i am not happy about it, as it struggles to hold a constant bubble rate. Which regulator is better rex grigg or gla choice regulator

I have Rex's. Both use the same regulator body. GLA adds the glass bubble counter. With Rex's you add what you want and its custom built, while GLA has the most typical configurations as standard items prebuilt.

It is a good regulator. I've not had issues with it.

For service, GLA is extremely good at providing prompt responses.

Rex is mia. You'd be best off building your own or buying one from one of the folks on here that builds them.

REX all the way.

ALSO if you tone down the pressure a little you wont have that inconsistant Bubble rate. I have a Mil as well.

Basically, Rex Grigg no longer responds to messages but has not taken down his online store or disabled his paypal account. I never did business with the man personally, but everyone who did prior to this seemed to be happy with the results, so I can only hope that it is due to circumstances out of his control. Don't send him money until you send him a message and he actually replies to it though.

When you order from a "thriving business" like GLA, you know what to expect, you get quick shipments, and you get a good product, but you may want to pay less for an equivalent product. That, in my opinion, is the advantage of hobbyist "businesses" where one person makes stuff to sell as they are ordered. The disadvantage is that there will be a longer delay in shipping (small or no stock on the shelf), and you will be subject to that one person's life events, like sickness, vacations, moving, etc. But, you also get the advantage of ease of customizing what you buy, since it will probably be made after you order it. I try to keep these thoughts in mind when I choose where to buy something.

is the gla choice regulator a good regulator that does not have the issues that the milwaukee does(maintains bubble rate not as big of a rate increase when the tank get closer to empty). Also on a 90 gallon do a need a reactor or can i sneak by with a diffuser into powerhead system?

I love my GLA Regulator (Supreme). Sure it was a bit more $$ but the customer service and 2 year warranty makes up for it, IMO.

I am with Hoppy on this..If you want to shell out the dough and you dont know the alternative then go with GLA products, yea they are good but I get something else that will do the same thing, in most cases, less than half the price.

As mentioned above, Rex has been MIA for quite some time now. 8+ months that I'm aware of.

I'd go with GLA.

You can get a beer regulator and it'll work fine. I have one and they're cheap.

Save the solenoid & needle valve from the milwaukee reg for the new one. No need to spend more money.

If you have patience...Ebay will have Dual Stage and single Stage Victor Regulators, if gone unnoticed you could get one for 10$. I did!!
