180 gallon tank, 75 gallon sump, the tank size is 72x24x24

I will be using a waveline dc12000 return pump, which is around 3100 GPH. I was thinking I would either go with 2 or 4 returns. With that being said the outlet of the pump is 1.25" and the loc-line that goes into my tank, it drilled in the back already for them are 3/4 and max size anyway is 3/4 for loc-line. Do you guys think 2 will be OK or should I go with 4? I have flow control on the pump so I plan to turn it down either way.

Thoughts?

If you use 1.25" expansion sockets on both sides of the drilled 3/4" and 1.25" returns you need not go for multiple returns but if you stick to 3/4" return pipelines you may need three of them in order to reduce the increased pressure at the output of the pump.
