In my 5gal RCS tank, the pearlweed has currently taken over and is growing very tall all over the tank. It's more a jungle than anything else. Unfortunately, it is yellow at the bottom but green on the top. I suspect this is due to weak light, and have attempted to correct this. I have also trimmed off as much as I could, but I don't want to change my tank so much that the shrimp cannot cope. It is also hard to find them in the tangle, so I'd like to remove the excess and confine the pearlweed to the rear of the tank. Can I do this slowly without removing all my shrimp, or would it be better to move them into their own container? I fear I might have to.
