Replanting HC?

703 Views 4 Replies 3 Participants Last post by  Juniverse
Hi guys,

Looks like my emersed set up of HC is growing quite well. The roots are starting to establish and nothing has died.

However, I would like to switch to AQUA SOIL AMAZONIA Powder version. Mostly because my current soil is pretty ugly to look at and I want the HC to have a better time rooting in finer soil.

Is it safe to take my current HC and replant it into the new soil? What recommendations do you have about this is avoid complications? :fish:

Even though it started emersed and the HC has had plenty of time to root well?

O.O

It rooted well in the first soil, that's not always the case when moving it.
Plus, the HC will carpet and you probably won't see much of the substrate anyways.
Got any pics?

Hi there,

I can post pics later. :)

I know I won't be able to see the substrate from the top but on the sides of the tanks I will be able to. I made the mistake on trying to put white sand with my black substrate to make this road/river look. I was able to separate the soils but there is still small specs of white substrate.

Thanks for you reply though! :)
