So I have a 25 gallon jbj nanocube drilled in the back with an overflow box leading to a 30 gallon refugium with a pump return. The tank has some really nice dimmable phoenix led 175watt mh 10-20k equivalent lights. The tank has a crack down the back that I tried to patch unsuccessfully. I'd like to turn it into a vivarium/terrarium with a waterfall to a stream to a small pool and have a cork back drop and grow some nice tropical plants in there. Maybe depending on the maintanence some tree frogs. My questions are: does the water have to be filtered or changed regularily if there is plants and gravel then sand before the return pump for the waterfall. are there any decent foggers that are submersible to give the waterfall that mist look and to raise humidity. will the LEDS generate too much heat (probably just check myself when the tank is empty. Will a lot of plants burn with the leds intensity? has anyone ever heard of connecting a cricket breeding tank to a vivarium with flex pvc so crickets will slowly introduce themselves as food for frogs. will they be able to climb up the flex pvc if its at a diagonal? with crickets in the tank do you have to change the substrate or plant media or is that just fine as fertilizer? yes, yes I have tons of information to search and read before I even think of starting. Just looking for some pointers, any answers or any direction you can point me in to get started. thanks and sorry for the essay!
