Red sea paintball question

Hi all,Having a problem with my paintball setup it seems my working pressure gauge goes up at night when the solenoid kicks in.The gauge at its highest was at 42 psi, normally its more than half of that... What could be the problem and is this dangerous?

Nobody have a red sea paintball setup???
I dont have one, however that isnt uncomman.I am a welder and that happens with regulators when the pressure is still on but there is nothing going out.
So is it safe to use the solenoid like this?
my experiance comes from commercial quality equipment.I am supposing that the dial you refer to would be the line pressure? If so then the pressure rise you are having is rising between the solenoid and the line pressure gauge,i guess what could happen is when you open your solenoid you will have a larger amount of pressure then you would want going to your needle valve.is the next thing in line a needle valve?if so I would think it would be up to the quality of that to assure you dont have a huge ammount when first activated. Is your solenoid safe?I would think so,does the regulator itself have a pressure adjustment to control the line pressure. If you are unfamiliar with vessel pressure or line pressure, vessel pressure is whats in the gas tank, line is what is going to your piping.Ultimatly if your bubble counter is still showing the correct flow rate you should be ok.It would be great if someone who has one of these sets would pipe up.good luck
Thanks for the info,I do believe it is the line pressure but it's written "working pressure" on the gauge.I know for a fact that when the solenoid turns on the bubble counter is getting more bps than what I set it at.The bubble counter came with the red sea kit.
Can you adjust the Working (or Line) pressure on the red sea kit? If so, I would try turning it down a notch to see if that helps.

You could try to turn line pressure down considerably ,it shouldnt take to much working pressure to run a bubble counter.Try setting line pressure at the lowest possible number that you can still get the right BPM and see what happens when your solenoid is off then.
Ill give that a try thanks.

Do you have the solenoid hooked up to a controller? Are you saying that the pressure goes up really high when it shuts off, or turns on?

If you are saying that the working pressure goes up when it shuts off at night, I can tell you this is normal. I have the exact same setup and never had a problem.

Do you like the red sea set?It seems alot of posters on this site tell me it is a gimmicky setup, sorry to hijack this post but we are on the subject.BTW preston4479 I just checked out your tank pics, clearly the red sea setup is doing very well,i left a comment.

Yeah I really like it. Although if you are using it on a larger tank you just have to have spare bottles on hand. I went with the paintball setup because it is very easy to hide. The only thing I did not like in the set was the reactor they give you. I have since made an inline reactor to eliminate that. But the red sea set is simple and easy to use.:)

There are pics of my setup and some wiring I did on my stand in this link on page 4.
