Hi TPT,
I bought Red Ludwigia and Alternanthera. The Red Ludwigia has just started to grow but it is not showing its red color. The Alternanthera is growing very slow and the leaves are small. What can I do? All my other plants are growing fine.

40g tall
5x 30w(1x power life, 2x ultra sun, 2x life glo 2)
Co2 injection
P.H. 6.8
K.H. 3
Temp. 83
Fert. Sea chem. liquid fertz and tabs
Water change 2 times a week

Thanks Ghost:cool:

my Ludwigia is turning green too.. It has to do with the lights. The underside of the leaves are still red though.

I have a feeling the plant was grown emersed where I got plenty of sunlight.
I'm not sure what I can do to make it turn back to red except grow it emersed in sunlight.

I think this part has more to do with good color "intense light". I dose 1tsp N, 1/4 tsp K, and 2 ml of P every other day on a very heavily planted 75 gal with 330 watts over it and the reds are popping nice. I dose pretty heavy on traces also. When I tried running lean, I got some crinkled leaf edges, also some algae tried to grow.
