Anybody know if red eye tetras are compatible for planted tanks? I got a group of 15 as dither fish for my silver dollar 60 gal tank and I fell in love with these fish.

They are great schoolers and with a black background they look very striking with the silvery-green shiny body and the red eye.

These guys would look gorgeous in my 100 gal planted tank. Are they fin nippers? (I have a group of 8 juvenile angels, 6 zebra danios, 4 corys and a pleco in there)

I´ll post a pic of these guys, gorgeous little fish!

when I had them, I did notice they nibbled a bit on plants, but not enough to cause damage. More like they wanted a taste or were curious if it was edible or not.

that`s great, i think i will put a small group in the planted tank, they are lovely fish. I have 3 amazon swords in the tank and placed some hygro cuttings for the silver dollars to munch and so far the red eyes have ignored all plants
