recommendation for co2 for fluval spec 5

whats the best unit for the money out there that you could set and forget to automate the co2? thanks

DIY for a tank that small. Otherwise, you could go with the Fluval 20G kit. You can buy regular 16G refill cartridges for it for cheap. But that one works best if you turn it off at night to save CO2, which is not exactly automated...
The 95gram bottles are about $40+ on amazon (3pack).

Each one last me maybe 6 weeks. My new 5lb is filled and ready.

A 5 pound bottle refill is about $20 at a welding supply or beer supply.

Paintball stores don't cRe about the quality so you will fi d oil on the water.

I recommend the 5lb bottle because it's the smallest most common cylinder.

You can use it to run several tanks and someday you'll get a bigger tank.

Look for used regulators with solenoids.

You could use a 24oz paintball bottle but find out who will fill it in your area.

Buy the GLC V3, it has standard North American Threads.

The V2 only has Euro/Asian threads and won't ever fit CGA320 (standard North American Threads).
