Nice photos and I'm glad Amano added the Altums.
Good choice for this tank. At least you can see them at this scale.

Those fish will eat 12x a day also:thumbsup:
They are nice size and should get to their full glory if they are maintained over time like that.

Tom Barr
forgive my cultural ignorance but...
how do people eating like this
get to and from their seats?
how do servers get to them?

I don't think there are any servers.

it's just cultural differences I guess, but I'd feel a litle leary having someone's backside sitting that close to my food. My wife and I went to a Thai restaurant over the weekend and it was kind of crowded. We were told that if we wanted to eat in the Thai room (similar to the picture), we could sit right away, or wait 25 minutes for an actual table. We decided to wait...
I almost always eat like that in the pic. I have a very low table in between my couch and TV. So if I want to have dinner while watching the TV or my tank (right side of the table), I sit on the floor with the food on the table.

I always end up with pins and needles on one or both feet and the occassional cramping on quads and/or hamstrings. Seeing my gups play with each other or the SAE's schooling with the otos make it all worth it :hihi:
look at all of his videos, two are at the gallery on the aquaforestaquarium.com website!!

ps. That website has weird smillies they are all monkeys
Wow, what a nice looking video. I don't think I've seen amano feeding is fish before. Thanks for posting that great video.
can someone please explain what is up with that guys banner, the one with the swastika? im sure im missing something here.
Nice photos and vid, thanks for the link. Interesting how Amano interacts and treats the “regular folk”, and how he seems to enjoy dealing with people no matter their social status. It says alot about him

A very humble man despite his wealth, not many of those left.

looks like the food were placed before the people got there.
And the tables would be cleaned after the people left.

What's amazing besides the tanks, is the enthusiasm by the people there. Could you see something like that here in the states?

the nazis have ruined this great symbol (swaztika)..
it's been around for thousands of years if not longer from the ancient greeks to India. It's the sign of the buddha. And in chinese & japanese the sign is incorporated into the language as a character/symbol.
Very many cultures have unknowingly used the same symbol for a long time before Nazi Germany was ever formed. Some native Americans used it as a symbol of the sun and four seasons.

That giant tank is so awesome it makes me sick.
im sure your right.. but how would you feel if someone on this website had it as thier banner? i just looks out of place to me, sorta shocking.
which way is it facing? it makes a big difference.

The Swastika is an Indian Hindu Symbol which is widely used in all Indian Hindu rituals since ages. But its very different from the Nazi Swastika which is call a "Reverse Swastika".

I have seen questions arising quite a few times because of this . I think it is just peoples ignorance about different cultures.:)
Peace
