They should be constantly grazing on the substrate, plants, decorations, walls of the tank, etc., eating the biofilm. They don't go for all types of prepared foods. What are you feeding them?
ive tried blanched carrots , new life spectrum sinking pellets and cichlid flakes but i do see them grazing but enven if they had been eating wouldnt they go for my fod any ways do you have any suggestions?
I have a couple different types of sinking pellets. I submerge them to get them to sink straight down and a few minutes later it looks like a feed lot.
Mine go nuts for Hikari sinking wafers, Shirakura, and Mosura food. I'll break them into small pieces and in just a few minutes the food will be covered in shrimp and snails.
