Any one selling Crystal Red or Blue Velvet Shrimp for cheap? I just put nearly $100 for 20 shrimp (10 of each) in my 29 gallon and they were decimated by my Florida Flagfish overnight. The Flagfish has been sent back to the store. I now have 8 shrimp. My partner is even more devastated; we were told they should get along for the most part.

I have some SS Grade Mosura Crystal Reds for sale. I can offer them to anyone in Tucson for 35.00 each, but I am about to take most of the best ones to ANA and they offer them slightly cheaper than I do.
Flagfish are very individual. I have had some that make friends with my shrimps and let them share food and others that eat them right up. There would be no way for a store to know this and for the most part they have been great for me when using them for hair algae control. Of course the bigger the tank, the greater the chances that it will work out.

I would love to see a photo of a $35 shrimp. Would you have one to post up?

And that's why I was so taken aback by the Flagfish. We had a female who was nice enough, but when we added the male, he picked on everybody, especially her, and she, in turn, picked on the whole tank. They aggressively went after the shrimp. Even partially attacked me when I stuck my hand in there to pull out a shrimp body, they fought my hand to get to the shrimp. It was very sad because we very much liked that female Flagfish.
