Damn I was really worried this would happen.

I believe I am seeing the carcass of a rcs that has been eaten but I am hoping that it’s just a molt

have never seen aggression from my assassins and they were fed heavily yesterday

This is a 7 gallon with 20ish rcs, 9 chili rasboras and 4 assassin snails

I'd say very fresh molt, because when a shrimp dies their flesh turns that opaque whitish pink. And theres lots of totally clear areas throughout that body. It looks like a shrimp where some of the color is in the shell - I had a cray (C Quadricarinatus) where his molts were actually blue and red, so its not unpossible other crustaceans also can do this. You can pick it up and look at it to see if theres meat inside at the head. But to me it looks too perfect and undisturbed to be a half eaten carcass where only the center was eaten.
