Awesome tanks! I love the above shot. That's really cool you bred the polys. I think that's a pretty rare achievement. roud:And now for a few shots of the old home of my 'Pet Monsters'...
I really love Polypteri... so prehistoric, so spooky looking. I was crushed when Ogopogo died, having the pair of them together was such a wonderful thing to watch. They even mated a few times... or at least, they would do the mating jig. Once, while I was cleaning some of the moss that had grown in their tank I did find a lone baby Polypterus. He was so tiny, barely a centimeter long. I thought he was some kind of worm or something that had hitched in with some plants but once I caught him and had a good look I changed my mind... it was definitely offspring, he even had the tiny beginnings of those crazy dorsal spines. I put him in my 10 gal quarantine and managed to keep track of him for a week or so but then he vanished. I just really had no idea what to do with him at the time. So sad... it would have been amazing to raise a 2nd generation sea monster!
