I'm getting ready to purchase some Phoenix (Boraras Merah) and Sparrow (Boraras Uropthalmoides) Rasboras and want to know what the best temp to keep them in. 75-78 degrees? Do they prefer the upper 70's?

Also, do you think 12 each would be too many for a 10g? (total of 24)

I have my Merah and Brigittae at low 70's around 73-75 and their colors are amazing and they are really active.

I think 24 in a 10g is about good.

never heard of any of those kinds of rasboras, but I keep my harlequins at 74-75 and they're doing fine.

Their metabolism will be higher with the higher temps so they will probably burn off food faster... I would try and lower the temp if you can but if not I don't see nothing else wrong.

Brigittae and Merah are Boraras.....Microrasboras.

Everything in my 58 gal is doing great @ 78* F. including my Harlequins & Galaxies. Oh wait, Galaxies aren't in the Rasbora family anymore.:icon_redf

I have noticed that my Celestials tummies get really skinny more often when the temps are higher

Thanks for the info! I'll try them at 75 degrees.
