I know we have some very experienced breeders from minorheros newts to Avns African dwarf frogs. I would really like to know what the rare creature is, how you bred it, and how much it costs.

Macropodus ocellatus, the Round Tailed Paradise fish. There were some imports to the U.S. about 8 years ago, but have been impossible to obtain for the last few years. Easy bubble nesters, some of the young grew up alongside their parents. Their only drawback is that they absolutely require a few months of temps in the 40's.

I wouldn't say rare, and in my case and certainly not on purpose - but my kubotai rasbora provided me with a few fry. Didn't get them out of the tank fast enough for them to not get eaten.. My glowlight did the same thing, I was able to grab those and put them in a breeder box until they were too big to eat. Two of them made it so, woohoo!

The kubotai were hard to get last year, but I see more of them available at the few places where I buy fish on line. I live in Idaho so my LFS selection is Petsmart or Petco.. not gonna find any of those in there...
