I have had rams before but they never bred. I found some nice ones at Petco the other day and saw there was a male and a female swimming together so I picked them up. Fast forward a week. The eggs are difficult to see but they are there. I noticed the female digging a nest yesterday so I placed this piece of slate in there. I don't expect any to make it. If not the parents then the Cories, yoyo's, Bolivians, or angel.

If not the other fish in your tank the pair themselves might eat their eggs if this is their first time spawning. I've got a pair in my tank who have spawned twice and have eaten their eggs on day 2 both times. Though they are making improvements. The second time the male at least fertilized the eggs.
