well pretty much the actinic bulbs are useless for freshwater plants.. and as far as the 120 k bulbs... u want to stay within the 65k to 100 k range for plants

I bought a light fixture and the lights are 65w 12000k x2 and 65w true actinic x2. is this good for a 75g without co2 with plants for about a few months untill i do get the co2?

I agree Actinic Are Pretty much useless They might help a little But both of those bulbs are pretty high in color. I would change out the actinics For 2x65 watt 6500k or somewhere around there.well pretty much the actinic bulbs are useless for freshwater plants.
is there any other kind that would be best to replace it with.
