quick question about julidochromis

Hi all I have one quick question about the fish julidochromis. I know there are several different types but I would like to know if they eat plants. I have java moss and fern and was thinking about adding them but won't if they will eat my plants. If you have kept any type of julies please let me know if your fish eat plants or if it should be fine.
Thanks!

I have Julies in a fully planted tank, Crypt's,Ludwigia Repens, and Anubis. And never seen them bother, eat or dig-up my plants.

Thanks for the reply! May I ask what size tank you keep them in and with what tankmates?

29g, and 2 Brichardi's,2 Yo Yo loach's, 2 syno cat's, and a albino zebra.
Thanks :) im looking to get a breeding pair in a 20 long that is supposed to have the same footprint as a 29 so hearing about a set up like this is encouraging because I know its something that can be done. Thanks for the info.
i also have julies in my 100 gallon aquascape tank
with them i keep a few leleupis that breed now and then
some cylindricus and a pair of tretocephalus

my trick is to put pile of rocks in each corner and they linger there most of the time without bothering my plants in the middle

can you share some pic's?
So I could make 2 cavey areas one at each end and do plants in the middle to help block lines of sight? (I heard that helps reduce aggression).
Julies are rock dwellers, so they need rock piles in order to be comfortable. Once those are present, however, they barely disturb plants. If you are still worried, you can pot any plants not tied to rocks.
