I used window mesh made of fiberglass to make a java moss wall for my 20L. Is the fiberglass material shrimp safe?

Window screen is shrimp safe, but your moss will have a tough time growing through it because the holes are so small.

I agree that the window screen holes are too small. I found a larger-sized screen at Lowes when I made my moss wall. If I can find it in the garage, I can let you know which one it was.

About double the size of regular window screen should be fine for your purposes.

can anyone recommend what to exactly get? I went to home depot but the only mesh was on the screen doors.

Well im gonna try the mesh cause i already bought it. Ill change it if i find something better or it doesnt grow out in a week.

You can get plastic mesh at craft stores that would work. You could use the screen as a backing to it

its not going to grow out in a week. give it a month and then see if any of the moss made it through.

Pond and Bonsai netting could work well.
