Some have a redish tint on the underside of the leaf.

Kinda looks like the pogostemon erectus I just got today... although mine was probably grown emersed.

Im thinking not, it does look similar. I just planted pogostemon erectus as well, and it looks slightly different, not as thick and no red to it.

Yeah, you are right.

That is P. erectus. The red parts are unhealthy bits of the leaves.

And a stem I put more towards the front so I can see it more easily to monitor if it changes into something else.

I just got P. erectus, too. That first pic looks like not-so-happy emersed form.
