I recently just trimmed back a bunch of my stem plants and new growth is coming.
However, the new growth is only coming from the single area where i trimmed.
I thought that once you do a trim new growth should be coming from multiple nodes of the plants below the area where i cut to make it "bushier".
But right now all it looks like is a single stem coming from the stem that i just cut.
Am i trimming these plants wrong? Or is there a certain way that im supposed to trim wisteria and asian ambulia?
