I've been pouring over retail sites and forums and I've seen conflicting comments comparing the Eheim 2211 vs 2213. I was hoping someone here with experience with them can help.

My main questions:
1. Does the 2211 come with doubletap connectors? I keep finding conflicting comments about this.

2. Would the 2211 have enough flow/power to use an in-line heater?

3. Would the 2213 be way too much for a 7 gallon 12" cube? Would using a valve on the return hose to limit the flow rate cause additional strain or wear to the pump?

Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

I have three 2211s. All came with double tap connections. Not sure about in line heater. A valve to limit output will not hurt either one because there both magnetic impeller pumps.

I am running 2211 on 4 gallon nano and it works great. I also have Inline heater connected but it is DIY version. You can see that here: Nano aquascape - "Dance of the Fireflies" ~ Bolbi Aquarium

Thanks for the replies. Glad to hear the 2211 come with the doubletaps.

That's a nice looking scape shaman! I'm planning on doing a DIY inline heater as well so it's good to see one in use.
