Dosing with green Brightly step 1 and brightly K.

My roset swords are getting all glossy and don't look like they are going to make it... Any thoughts? Everything else is growing strong. It's looking so bad I think I need to yank it.

Also a huge out break of Brown algae started 2 days ago covering rocks and substrate. Was thinking this is because the tank is about to finish cycle. But might be the light? Tank is 30" deep.

I won't even go into the snails... over 30 now.

The two 65 watt PC light won't provide much light at 30 inches. I doubt that the LEDs are supplying much either, so I suspect the plants aren't getting adequate lighting.

Nitrites should be zero.

Knowing pH and KH will not tell you how much CO2 is in the water, but it doesn't matter if you have too little light anyway.

Been trying to talk my self out of buying new lights. Since these are only 6 weeks old.

Looking at your chart would you suggest 3 t5 HO.

Or do I need to go MH with that depth.

Stupid pentagon corner tank is hard to find anything that gets light on the whole footprint. Pretty much everything in the back of the tank grows out of the light.

Also just at the end of the cycle so nitrites have been dropping.

And the little chart that comes with test for PH and KH equals CO2 is useless?

Good thing my drop checker is green with 4 dkh solution.

Since you've got pressurized CO2, I'd go with either a 3 or 4 bulb T5HO fixture. My own personal favorite is the Solar T5HO from www.catalinaaquarium.com.
