I have a 37 gallon tank that is 30 inches long, 12 inches wide, and 24 inches deep. Currently, I have Trident Java Ferns, Java Fern Philippine, Java Moss, Jungle Val, Anubias, and Java Fern. I want to stay with a low tech setup, so are my lights okay for a low tech setup? If my lights are too strong for this type of setup, then I'm willing to add some pressurized co2. I'm fairly new to this planted tank hobby, so I'd appreciate some replies. :icon_surp

If you're using the Fluval Aqualife and Plant LED then it's probably fine for a low light setup in a tank like that, with so much depth to the substrate it probably puts you right in the middle or possibly towards the low end of low light. Personally, if I was setting up a low light setup I would probably still have pressurized co2 for algae control and general health of plants. If you're willing to spend the extra money for a pressurized co2 setup then you will have healthier plants now and you would be free to increase your light later if you choose to.
Thank you for your reply. Yes, I am currently using the Fluval Aqualife and Plant LED. If I setup pressurized CO2 and with my setup, what should my CO2 levels in my tank be like? I have heard of people using a paintball co2 thing. Is that something that you would advise?
