My friend bought some crystal reds the other day and she told me that they all looked translucent on the side of the head ESP the lower areas.
She has white substrate so I was wondering if this is the cause or if it could be her shrimp.

How long has she had them? What grade are they? Parameters? Typically shrimp shoe their best color with dark substrate.

She had them for several days. They are s+
her parameters
Nitrates 5 ppm
nitrites 0
Ammonia 0

What pH is her tank. Anyone selling S+ grade would be keeping them in a low pH, low gH,kH tank I would assume.
