Question about Co2 regulator

Is it normal for the output pressure meter to go up when the solenoid turns off. It usually runs about 20-25 psi when on, but when the solenoid goes off, it goes to about 50 or so. FYI, it's a used Aquatek reg.

A good regulator doesn't do that. This might still work, if the pressure quickly drops back down when the solenoid valve opens again.

yes, as soon as the solenoid opens up, the pressure drops back down. so then its ok right?
