Anyone quarantine their fish, how so? I've been a reefer for the last 3 years, and the gold standard on reefcentral, popular reefer forum, is to use the Tank Transfer Method (to rid fish of ich) and treat twice with prazipro (to treat flukes and other internal parasites). These methods are so easy on the fish they were used as precaution to not bring any parasites into the main tank. In the reef tank ich can live for 10 weeks if their is a host present (any fish in the tank). Anyone know if the same techniques we use for saltwater fish will work with freshwater fish?
