I got a Python and love it. Filling is a breeze but draining is too slow for my taste probably because the faucet is located slightly higher than the aquarium water level.
I'm intrigued by the possibility of adding a small water pump (like an Eheim pump). Since I have never used a water pump before, I have a few questions.
1. Will the debris clog the pump? That is, for a typical water pump, is the intake directly connected to the outtake? Or, is there something inbetween?
2. With the pump installed, can I still fill using the Python? That is, can water flow from the outtake to the intake?
3. Provided that I won't have problems with issues raised above, where should I install a pump? Near the gravel tube or the faucet pump?
Thanks in advance!
