I dose Prime per the directions (use the amount you'd use for the entire tank volume, no matter the amount you're actually changing) right before I refill the tank.

How much prime do you go through in a month doing this?

Not that much, since I only do water changes once a month. I use more Prime recharging my Purigen than anything else... LOL
